St Mary’s Students Shine in Special Father’s Day Song

Three talented students from St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Toukley, are celebrating the release of a special Father’s Day song recorded in collaboration with renowned Australian children’s musician Andrew Chinn.

Working remotely with Andrew, St Mary’s students Katy-Leigh, Indianna and Maddison, contributed their voices to the heartwarming song, showcasing their musical talents and enthusiasm from their own locations. Despite not being together in a recording studio, Katy-Leigh, Indie and Maddie embraced the opportunity to be part of a professional music project, demonstrating dedication and confidence throughout the process.

The collaboration highlights how technology can connect young performers with professional artists, allowing students to take part in meaningful creative experiences and share their talents with a wider audience.

The Father’s Day song has now been officially released and is available on YouTube https://youtu.be/dfZNu3T-sDQ?si=mq8y9wPQ_fotMdge, as well as major streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music. Families, friends and community members are encouraged to listen and enjoy this special tribute to fathers and father figures.

This achievement is a wonderful testament to the girls’ hard work, courage and love of music. Congratulations to Katy-Leigh, Indianna and Maddison on being part of such an exciting project and creating a lasting musical gift for Father’s Day.
