St Mary’s school has assembly weekly and parents are welcome to attend.
These assemblies are capably led by the members of the Student Parliament.
On Thursday afternoons the school gathers to celebrate the upcoming week’s Sacred Space focus. Merit awards for achievements over the past week are distributed. STARS Awards are presented to selected students who have demonstrated exemplary STARS behaviours.
Messages from the Principal and teachers are shared with the students and parents.
The assembly closes with the singing of two verses of the National Anthem.
Each grade hosts one assembly during the year. This is a sharing of work and an opportunity to showcase and celebrate learning.
