A strong relationship is forged between the different classes in the school by the sense of belonging and connectedness at St Mary’s. It is enhanced by the Kindergarten/Year 6 Buddy System.
The Kindergarten and Year 6 buddies ensure a smooth transition from Pre School to Kindergarten. The Year Six children build a strong rapport with their younger buddies and they are teamed to share morning tea, read together and participate in craft and fun activities at various times throughout the year.
